February Recap: Use It Up Product Challenge

Here's to another productive month of using 10 more products in my stash. (See below for monthly summary.) When I add February and January totals, I've completely finished 21 products for the year! Can't wait to see what March will bring.

Week of February 21st:
  • L'Occitane Amande Shower Oil: A definite staple in my shower (Review Nov. 2009). It's so versatile, too. I use this product for shaving and as an all-purpose body wash especially during the winter months when my skin is dry. (Repurchase: Yes! I also plan to buy a travel-size for my upcoming trip to France and Belgium.)
  • John Masters dry hair nourishment & defrizzer: I started using this item when I first became acquainted with the John Masters brand last fall (Review Aug. 2010). It was the first item I used in this line, and probably it's now my least favorite. (Skip: I'm not sure this really did anything for me in the long run.)
Week of February 14th:
  • Trish McEvoy Wild Blueberry Vanilla candle: I'm so sad to see this candle burn out. This is one of my favorites (Review Nov. 2010). It's been a constant in my bedroom for months! And its aroma is oh so sweet even without burning. (Skip: I'll hold off on repurchasing for now. I still have several other candles to rotate in.)
Week of February 7th:
  • Kiehl's Creme de Corps: This is my year-around body lotion that I've been using since 2007 (Review April 2009). I will occasionally substitute it for another body lotion, but I always go back to this product as nothing quite compares. I typically purchase the big liter size during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale or when Nordstrom is doing a double or triple point promotion for their credit card holders. This big bottle will usually last at least 6 months. (Use spare: I purchased a backup bottle in December.)
  • Bobbi Brown Brush Cleaning Spray: Can you believe that I've finished another bottle of this stuff? I finish one at least every month. While I'd love to find a longer-lasting substitute, nothing seems to provide the same results. I also appreciate that it is alcohol-free so I don't have to worry about it drying out my precious Trish brushes! (Use spare: I bought two of these online in December as I was having a hard time finding the product at my local counters. Now it's time to reorder once again!)
  • Laura Mercier French Vanilla Body Wash: I was given this item at least a year ago. I wasn't keen on the fragrance, so I didn't use it very often. However, it did produce nice suds when used as a bubble bath. (Skip: This fragrance is now discontinued, and I have other body washes to use up.)
  • Sonya Dakar Nourishing Body Oil (in Verbena Cypress): I have been rationing this amazing oil ever since I first cracked open the bottle (Review November 2010). It was a very sad day when I dispensed the final drop. The good news is that it's packing is so brilliant that I actually was able to pump the last drop, which is so rare nowadays with pump-style dispensers. I don't know how many times I've had to slice open bottles just to get the last third of the product out of the container. (Skip: Sadly, I won't be purchasing a replacement. I got this one for nearly half off, but I can't justify $65 for it.)

Week of February 1st:
  • Trish McEvoy Eye Base Essentials (Demure shade): I use one of Trish's Eye Bases on a daily basis. I've come to love the Demure shade as it's about the same color as my eye lid plus it adds just the right amount of sparkle. This eye primer is perfect for hiding those ugly veins and ensuring my eye shadow stays put all day. (Repurchase: It's on my weekend shopping list.)
  • Trish McEvoy Beauty Booster Serum: This is one of those products that has transformed my skin by keeping everything well balanced — not too dry, not too oily. I wear it daily under my moisturizer (Review Oct. 2009). (Repurchase: Definitely!)
  • Eve Lom Cleanser: I started using this luxury facial cleanser in the summer and then revisited it in December when I needed a bit more exfoliation properties in my cleanser (Review Jan. 2011). (Skip: Just for now. I have a couple of other cleansers that I should use up first. If I notice a significant difference, I'll rebuy immediately.)
